Persistence Pays

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.

-Calvin Coolidge

Publishing my book has been quite the journey.
I never realized how much work went into getting something into print. I thought writing it was the work...was I ever naive!
There are so many steps that are required and if you want to see it completed you can't stop or put it off until later.
I've been working on publishing my short childrens book for over a year now. It's made me think about, and appreciate what kind of work goes into a novel...or a movie and even recording a song.
Getting all the images in order and designing the interior for my 42 page book has taken much more time than I ever imagined. We've been editing for months and there seems to always be one last thing! It's been fun, exciting, exhausting both mentally and physically, sitting in front of the computer editing day after day.
It's also been the most rewarding thing I've ever done.To see a dream of having a story that I love turned into a book. A book that will be around forever, for future generations to enjoy.
So today's topic is on persistence.
Persistence does pay off. If it's something you love and want badly enough, you will persist AND you will accomplish your goals and desires.
Here's some info that helped me along the way.

Some Encouraging Quotes On Persistence:

Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it's not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. it's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.
